In 1940, Arthur Welter and August Karrer founded WEKA GmbH in order to produce and market lead fittings. Their company grew fast, and only two years later, they had to relocate to larger premises. Today, WEKA AG is primarily known for cryogenic components – in other words, cold stuff. The medium-sized Swiss enterprise also specialises in producing special valves for niche markets and level gauges for liquids. WEKA supplies customers in more than 100 countries. WEKA technologies have proven their worth in extreme conditions, for example on spacecraft and submarines.
